Swimming low elbow (core powered low elbow swing with submaximal jump and “cheating” the elbow back early):
I don't think I have seen anyone really use this technique at the pro level. I do know some taller players personally that use a technique something similar to this, maybe I can get ahold of video examples one day. If you’d happen to have any examples, please let me know for example in the comments section of the spike menu video!
Kamikaze (core powered low elbow swing with full jump but a swing technique that takes so long that the hit happens after the peak of the jump):
Is there any pro player who hits with the Kamikaze technique that I mostly don't recommend..? Well, it's a bit hard to say, since someone who has a quick and low elbow technique but mistimes their jump (if they jump too early), stays a bit too tense, or something else slightly funky, will do something that looks like the Kamikaze technique. I feel hesitant to say for sure that anyone uses this technique, but the professional player that I have so far seen most of these tendencies with will probably be Alexander Brouwer (haha hope he doesn't mind if he's ever read this...!) Here is an example of what I mean, there is also a slowmotion video after where one can clearly see that he is hitting with a bent elbow.
